The Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science has bolstered its faculty ranks with the addition of seven new faculty members hired during the 2023-2024 recruiting season.
The new faculty members bring expertise in areas like computer vision, robotics, generative models, causal inference, and fairness in algorithms, among others.

*Editor's note: Since the publication of this story, Cornell Bowers CIS has welcomed a twelfth new faculty member in the 2023-2024 academic year. This fall, Dan Kowal Ph.D. ’17 announced he will join the college community starting in summer 2024 as an associate professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science.

The Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science welcomes three new faculty members this spring.
With expertise in areas like high-performance computing for genomics data processing, computer networking, and computational social science, the incoming trio arrives amid tremendous growth for the college, which is now home to 2,000 undergraduate majors within its three departments – computer science, information science, and statistics and data science.
