Career Fair, Employer Info Sessions, Workshops, and Tips
Career Fair
Check on Handshake to see when and where the career fairs are being held and to find out which employers are coming.
Career Fair Tips Prioritize which employers you would like to visit. Sometimes the employer may not post a position in Handshake that meets your skills. Check the employers’ websites to see if they have a position open you might like to apply for and then ask the recruiter about this position and how they might prefer that you apply. You might need to apply on the employer website if directed. There have been a few recruiters who have accepted resumes for positions within their company that are not posted in Handshake.

Employer Info Sessions and Workshops
Find these in Handshake under the events tab or from an email from your department. Learn about events through student groups and associations.
Workshops Many career development workshops are given by various career centers across campus. CIS students may attend where they are open to anyone and most of the workshops open to Engineering students. Remember to pick up a Spring and Fall Career Services Workshops Brochure at Cornell Career Services in Barnes Hall.
Some workshops that require registration can be found in Handshake and some workshops that may not require registration can be found at Cornell Career Services Events website. Check them both to ensure you do not miss one you were hoping to attend. http://www.career.cornell.edu/events/calendar.cfm
