What is your academic focus?

AI for scientists, human-in-the-loop systems, machine learning, and computer vision

Could you briefly summarize your research?

My research aims to develop AI systems that work together with scientists to extract insights from experimental data. The goal is to enable experts to efficiently interact with rapidly growing amounts of data and accelerate scientific discovery.

Why Cornell?

I really enjoy Cornell's collaborative atmosphere and the interdisciplinary connections across departments. I've already had many exciting discussions with students and colleagues here, and I look forward to many more in the future.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

I like to try new foods and traveling. I'd also like to learn more recipes, as well as explore all the beautiful hikes and waterfalls around Ithaca!

Which courses are you most looking forward to teaching?

I'm excited to teach Research Design for Machine Learning, a course designed to prepare students for a successful machine learning research career. We will cover topics such as defining research goals, setting up collaborations, and communicating new results.
