Story

Interested in mentoring a woman in the computing field?

Are you interested in mentorship? Join the alumni network managed by Women in Computing at Cornell (WICC)! WICC is an undergraduate organization at Cornell that works to increase the visibility of women in computing fields, provide role models, and dispel stereotypes. WICC fosters a supportive community that empowers women currently pursuing their BS and encourages young girls through its outreach program to explore opportunities in technical fields.

Through the alumni network, WICC will match you with current undergraduate women interested in your field of work or experience, and we will organize many events for you to engage in fun ways with your mentee! WICC is launching a pilot program this August where WICC members visit an alumnus at their office for a day and get to learn what the culture and work responsibilities are like, as well as ask questions about opportunities in tech. The goal of this program is to allow students an inside-glimpse of what working in tech is like, as well as the breadth of opportunities available in the tech industry. If you would like to get involved, please join the WICC alumni network. If you would like more information, check out our website and direct questions to Dayin Chen.
