Ingrid Jensen joins college as Director of Student Services

On August 19, Ingrid Jensen joined Cornell Bowers CIS as the college's inaugural Director of Student Services.

In this role, Jensen will provide college-level strategic leadership and management of the services and programs that support the needs, goals, and administrative requirements of the undergraduate educational mission. She will also expand the college’s engagement and advocacy in decision-making regarding undergraduate education at the university level and with our enrolling college partners.

Jensen joins the Cornell Bowers CIS community with over 15 years of higher education experience, including nearly a decade at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at the SC Johnson College of Business — first as Senior Associate Director, Leadership Programs, and most recently as Executive Director, Student Services. As Executive Director, Jensen  provided strategic direction and oversight of residential MBA and MPS-Management programs, led efforts to improve student experience and the implementation of the inaugural Johnson NYC Curriculum on the Cornell Tech campus, as well as partnered with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion on efforts to integrate diversity training and education into curriculum and ancillary activities. She has a Bachelor’s in East Asian and Latin American Studies from Indiana University, and Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell.

"Given Ingrid’s experience, knowledge of Cornell, and passion for education, I am confident she will efficiently and effectively meet the college’s educational mission and fully support the unique needs of our faculty, staff, departments, and undergraduate students," said Claire Cardie, Associate Dean for Education. "Ingrid will collaborate closely with the department directors of undergrad studies (DUSes), faculty, and staff, as well as department and college administration to maintain crucial department relationships and priorities."
