CIS students are excited to participate in Random Hacks of Kindness being held this weekend. This altruistic hackathon utilizes the skills of Cornell students to have a positive impact in an area of need. This interdisciplinary event brings together students from across degrees, majors and schools at Cornell to solve problems proposed by community partners.
One project of particular interest to CIS students is building an app to drive participation of girls to the new Girls Who Code Club that is being launched at Cornell in partnership with Women in Cornell Computing (WiCC) and Accenture. The Hackathon begins November 13 in the afternoon with final presentations on Sunday in OlinRoom 155.
