Two students who volunteered their time and expertise to help tutor fellow students this semester have each received the Student Impact Award from the Department of Statistics and Data Science (SDS).
Ishani Chopra and Robert Feldstein were both recognized for serving as peer tutors throughout the spring semester to several students taking biometry and statistics and statistical science courses. Along with tutoring, Chopra also volunteered as a biometry and statistics peer advisor for incoming students in the fall semester.
Chopra majors in biological sciences and biometry and statistics and will graduate this month, while Feldstein majors in statistics and data science and will graduate in December.
Both received a plaque, some Cornell Bowers CIS swag, and a financial gift.
