Bowers CIS Department Recognition Ceremonies: Friday, May 27, 2022
At our department ceremonies, graduates are individually recognized by name and walk across the stage.
- Location: All Bowers CIS recognition ceremonies and receptions will be in Barton Hall.
- Ticketing: No ticketing is required. Graduates may invite unlimited guests.
- Attire: Graduates should wear regalia.

Reception: 10:30 - 11 a.m.

Cornell University Commencement Ceremony

Cornell’s Commencement Ceremony recognizes the entire community of Cornell graduates across all degree programs. It is when degrees are officially conferred.
The university has split the May 2022 Commencement into two ceremonies. Bowers CIS has been assigned to the afternoon event. We encourage you to join your Bowers CIS classmates and faculty in the procession so we can celebrate this momentous occasion together.
Cornell Commencement:
Assemble behind the Bowers CIS banner on the Arts Quad: 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
Procession to Stadium: 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Commencement Ceremony: 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
- Location: Schoellkopf Field.
- Ticketing: Tickets are no longer required. Graduates may invite unlimited guests.
- Attire: Graduates should wear regalia.

- Dress for the Season: Ithaca weather can be unpredictable, so be sure to pack for heat, rain, or cool weather, and bring comfortable shoes for walking on our campus and famous hills. Please be aware that Barton Hall is not air conditioned and there is not much shade available in Schoellkopf Stadium. Please plan accordingly.
