Sponsors' Awards
Each sponsor gave one award based on broad criteria including novelty, execution, quality of engineering, performance, difficulty, social benefits, presentation, and usefulness. Each sponsor award included a commemorative trophy and $1000.

Faculty Choice Awards
The three Faculty Awards were judged by Bowers College of Computing and Information Science faculty and focuses on specific areas of Computing, Information,and Statisitcal science. Criteria may include novelty, elegance, simplicity, and appropriateness of algorithms and overall software engineering. The selected projects received a commemorative trophy and $1000.

The Bits On Our Minds (BOOM) Award was judged by the Bowers College of Computing and Information Science Faculty and the BOOM Committee for the project that stood out at this year's event. The selected projects received a commemorative trophy and $1000.
