IS Partners with Johnson School on new Digital Tech Immersion Course

The Department of Information Science is pleased to partner with The Johnson School on an exciting new Digital Technology Immersion Course Sequence to be offered in the Spring 2016 semester.

In this program, MPS students will choose elective business courses on leadership, organizational behavior, project management, entrepreneurship, etc., while MBA students will take courses on introductory programming, advanced analytics, and other CIS topics. The crux of the Digital Technology Immersion will be a practicum made up of combined teams of Johnson MBS and IS MPS students. The teams will work with an industry client on a real world application of their learned skills. The practicum will be led by an advisory panel of industry leaders from technology, corporate and start-ups. It will include a filed trip to the Data Science Conference and Hackathon to be held at Cornell Tech in mid-February.

MPS students interested in registering for this immersion program should do so by October 11. For more information contact Gilly Leshed or Christine Stenglein.
