IC3, an initiative for cryptocurrencies and contracts, along with Ethereum Foundation, a Swiss non-profit organization, has announced a ‘Crypto Boot Camp’ - an immersive weeklong coding and learning experience in blockchains and smart contracts. Held in Gates Hall July 20-28, the event showcases world-leading professors, open source developers, and students.
The boot camp will see daily keynote presentations by smart contract and blockchain experts including Vitalik Buterin, founder of Ethereum Foundation; Dr. Ittay Eyal from IC3 and Cornell University; Casey Detrio from Ethereum Foundation; Andrew Miller from IC3 and UMD, among others.
The week-long event invites any developer who wants to learn, contribute and advance smart contract solutions. Blockchain novices and experts alike are also welcome to attend the camp. Planned projects during the event include Ethereum Vaults that protect clients against key theft and Ethereum support for verifying zero-knowledge proofs.
IC3 is an initiative of faculty members at Cornell University, Cornell Tech, UC Berkeley, UIUC and the Technion and is based at the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute at Cornell Tech in NYC.
